Some messages around school return on Thursday.Tue Sep 07 03:16pm
Kia ora Whānau
We are looking forward to seeing all of our Bohally students back at school this Thursday. We thank you all for supporting your child’s learning during lockdown and know that many students are keen to get back to school to see their friends and teachers. Schools are fortunate in the fact that we can proceed relatively normally without having to follow all the rules of businesses around social distancing, number limitations etc. Below are a few messages around the return:
Masks are optional not a requirement, although if students wear one they are to be appropriate for school and please no coloured bandanas, only properly fitted masks.
All school devices and power cords are to be brought back to school on Thursday (this is very important, we spent a lot of time giving them out and would like the thanks to be in the form of returning these on time).
Any students who have lent school books, reading journals etc – can these also be returned on Thursday.
School buses will be running their normal schedules on Thursday. The Picton students may need to wear masks as this is a public bus so arrive prepared.
Please come to school in your correct uniform with no jewellery, nail polish, hair colouring etc! Everyone has time today and tomorrow to prepare.
Some classes may have Tech – if you have long hair have a hair tie handy in case it’s your class.
We are waiting for information from sports codes around sports at Level 2, but we do know that Basketball is resuming this week so games will be on Friday.
Class Google meets will be on tomorrow.
Speeches – all students should have their speeches completed and ready for presentation to their classes next week, this was one of the tasks to complete during lockdown (3-4 minutes long).
Finally a big shout out to Grove Road Coffee House who kindly donated vouchers to our Level 3 teachers, this was much appreciated by the staff working during this time.
See you all on Thursday,
Bohally Intermediate is open for all students this Thursday.Mon Sep 06 05:40pm
Kia ora Whānau,
As many of you would have just heard, schools outside Auckland will be open for all students on Thursday. We are excited to welcome our students back to Bohally. I will send more details tomorrow once I have met with the Ministry of Education team to understand what Level 2 will look like in schools. Bohally Intermediate will start at the normal time this Thursday with buses running as usual. Masks are not mandated for use in schools or on school buses, they are only recommended not required.
As I mentioned earlier I will send an email out tomorrow with any further information.
Level 3 SurveySun Aug 29 03:59pm
On Friday an email was sent out asking families to indicate if their child is returning to school in Level 3 (only for essential workers children). If you did not receive this email please contact your child’s class teacher so that they can send you the link. Thank you to the families who have submitted their response.
Bohally Contact Device Delivery MondaySun Aug 22 07:01pm
Dear Bohally Families,
Bohally staff will be delivering devices to students whose parents have indicated to us they are in need of a device for learning during lockdown. Delivery will be tomorrow (Monday 23rd of August). Delivery will be to an accessible door. Staff will leave on the doorstep and knock on the door then they will leave the premises. Please follow social distancing guidelines and allow staff to deliver safely. If there are any issues with this method of delivery please contact your teacher ASAP.
Thanks from the team at Bohally.
Level 4 lockdown, Bohally Intermediate is closed to all students and staff for the next 3 days.Tue Aug 17 07:52pm
Kia ora Bohally families
As many of you would have heard NZ moves into a Level 4 lockdown from midnight today. For Blenheim this is only for 3 days at this stage. School will be closed for all students and staff for the next 3 days. The Waimea tournament will not happen nor will any other sports or practices during this time. If the lockdown occurs for longer than the 3 days teachers will be in touch with online learning options but at this stage we won’t be setting up anything formal. Students can take this time to read some books, revise their basic multiplication facts and help with jobs at home. Students who do have technology at home might like to complete any maths buddy or google classroom tasks if possible, we know that this won’t be easy for everyone. Look after each other and take care. We will be in touch once we know the next step from the government.
